Sonic the Hedgehog is a comic that was first published in 1993 and still continues to this day. Every 4 weeks a new issue is published, with the main series and Sonic X currently being issued. Previously there have been miniseries for various characters, special issues, Super Sonic Special issues, and a Knuckles series. In 2008, the series was recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest running comic series based on a video game.
